Another year is about to slip away from us. With offical winter just 11 days away, the weather here remains spectacular … short sleeves and short pants. Having the opportunity to live and work in the Everglades area is truly special to all of us here. We have your patronage to thank for this opportunity. So from all of us, THANK YOU!! The Everglades National Park Birding, Wildlife and Photo Expedition is a 3 1/2 hour, naturalist-led, boating experience in the Park. We have regularly been encoutering manatees, dolphins, loggerhead turtles and many, many species of birds. However, the ospreys are particularly special right now. These raptors mate for life and return each year to the same nest to raise theiryoung. The adults are busy now with nests construction and courtship. It is common to see an adult land on a mangrove tree and violently tear of a branch and bring it back the nest where it carefully weaves it in place. Lots of great photo opportunites on this tour.
Our most popular tour, The Boat Assisted Kayak Eco Tour is now available from Marco Island and Everglades National Park! There are wonderful areas for birding and wildlife around Marco. A power boat and very stable kayaks are an excellent platform for viewing and photography. This intimate tour only has space for six guests so reservations are required for the two daily departures (9:00 and 1:30). For more information click here
Four additional experiences are available from Marco Island:
Marco Island Dolphin & Wildlife Boat Tour – (2 hrs)
Marco 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion – (3.5 hrs)
Marco Rockery Bay Kayak Eco Tour
Marco Keewaydin Beach Kayak Eco Tour
